The Utah Shakespearean Festival founded in 1961, presents the best of Shakespeare, and other great playwrights, to captivated audiences from around the country, and the world. Each season tens of thousands of visitors come to enjoy the authentic Renaissance atmosphere as illustrated in: the Green Show, the Royal Feast and massively produced Shakespearian performances.
The stage of these events is a unique corner of the Southern Utah University campus. The Adams Memorial Shakespearian Theatre is one on the most authentic Elizabethan theatres in the world. The indoor, state of the art, Randal L Jones theatre, in operation since 1989, offers classics of world drama. Picturesque bed and breakfast facilities, with themes similar to the festival, are found throughout the neighboring area.
